The boarding kennel will now offer you the possibility to practice recreational Hoopers with your dog starting in January.

Two slots will be offered per month, on Saturday or Sunday. Dates can also be set on public holidays or exceptionally during the week.

❓ What is Hoopers?

Hoopers is a dog sport accessible to all, where the dog navigates a course made up of obstacles (hoops, tunnels, barrels, etc.) while being guided remotely by their human.
Unlike agility, there are no jumps, making it a gentle activity, ideal for all dogs, including seniors, dogs recovering from injury, or those with disabilities.

🐾 Who can practice Hoopers at Dog & Cat Étoiles?

All dogs are welcome to discover this friendly and stimulating discipline.
Adapted enclosures are available for reactive dogs, and courses can be adjusted according to specific needs, especially for dogs with disabilities.
Please note, however: we do not prepare for competitions. Here, we prioritize the bond between the dog and its human, the joy of practicing together, and a good atmosphere above all else.
No pursuit of performance, only fun, positive reinforcement, and companionship!

🎒 What equipment should I bring?

Nothing too complicated!
Your dog will simply need a flat collar and a leash to get to the field.
For you: comfortable clothing, waterproof shoes (or boots), a small pouch with super treats or a toy reserved exclusively for Hoopers.
And of course, remember your poop bags 😉

🕒 How does a class work?

Before the session, a short walk will help your dog relax.
For the safety and comfort of everyone, dogs will wait their turn in the car until the start of the class, to avoid any unwanted encounters.
We ask you to be present 5 minutes in advance to ensure a smooth transition between participants.
Once on the field, your dog can trot freely to sniff around and warm up. Then, you will discover together small progressive exercises, adapted to your dog's level, concentration, and preferences.
Breaks will, of course, be provided: your companion's well-being remains our absolute priority.

💰 What are the prices?

An individual 30-minute session is offered at the price of €22.
If your dog is deemed suitable to join a small group (after two individual sessions), you can join the group classes, consisting of a maximum of three dogs, for €15 per session
